This is the first time we are working with Buena Tierra Mill, a processing mill that also manages its own farms. This Bourbon Caturra lot comes from small producers in the Acatenango region, where Buena Tierra has carefully selected and processed the coffee as a natural. The result is a clean, vibrant cup with intense fruit character and a very enjoyable sweetness, showing great clarity and expression despite the bold natural process style. We are excited to start this relationship and continue exploring what Buena Tierra can produce in the coming years.

Finca Buena Tierra

Buena Tierra was founded in 2018 in the aftermath of the devastating eruption of Guatemala’s Volcán de Fuego, one of the country’s deadliest natural disasters in recent history.

The eruption claimed hundreds of lives, displaced thousands of people, destroyed homes and infrastructure, and severely impacted coffee-growing communities by damaging farms, livelihoods, and local economies.

In response to this crisis, Buena Tierra was established as part of a long-term recovery and resilience initiative to restore hope and create opportunities for affected families.
