We first met Francis a few years ago through his cousin, the renowned coffee producer Raรบl Pรฉrez of Finca La Soledad. This year, we had the pleasure of visiting Francis, his family, and Finca La Pampaโand we were genuinely impressed.
Located in the volcanic region of Acatenango, Guatemala, Finca La Pampa was established in 1945 and has been in the Pรฉrez family for five generations. The farm sits at 1,570 meters above sea level and is surrounded by rich biodiversity, making it an ideal place for producing high-quality specialty coffee.
Finca La Pampa has stayed true to traditional varieties such as Bourbon, Caturra, Typica, and Catuaรญ, while also embracing innovation through process and variety experimentation. Every lot and process is meticulously recorded to ensure full traceability. Since 2012, the farm has proudly held the โAcatenango Denomination of Originโ seal, a mark of both quality and regional identity.
What stood out to us most was not only the level of care and precision in their coffee production, but the passion and love the Pรฉrez family pours into every detail. Through each cup, they share a piece of Guatemalaโits culture, flavors, and people.
Weโre excited to continue working with Francis and to see what exceptional coffees come from Finca La Pampa in the years to come.
