“I often say that we were born under a coffee tree. We are following a family tradition, my father was also a coffee grower, I am already passing on this legacy to my sons. Today, they are in charge of the farm and doing what they love. That’s why we’ve achieved good results because we work with what we love.”
~ Airton Neves de Deus
Airton Neves de Deus likes to say that coffee has always been part of his life – not as a choice, but as something almost written into his story from the very beginning. Born and raised in the Campo das Vertentes region, he grew up surrounded by coffee trees, learning the rhythms of the farm from his father, who was also a dedicated coffee grower. It was this deep-rooted family connection that eventually led him to acquire Arco Íris farm and continue the path laid out before him.
Driven by both tradition and personal passion, Airton didn’t just maintain the farm – he developed it. After getting married, he began expanding the coffee fields and investing more seriously in production. His background as an Agriculture Technician helped him refine his approach, combining inherited knowledge with technical expertise.
Today, the story of Arco Íris is no longer just his. As a third-generation producer, Airton is now watching the next chapter unfold through his sons. Tiago and Rangel have taken on active roles on the farm, each bringing their own perspective. Tiago, with a background in business administration, supports the farm’s development and structure, while Rangel, trained in agriculture, focuses on production and sustainability, including certifications that shape the farm’s future.
What started as a family tradition has become a shared project across generations – one that continues to grow, rooted in both heritage and a genuine love for coffee.
